Your RoleSesame Workshop seeks a Senior Coordinator, Global Institutional Giving, to join its dynamic Institutional Giving team. The Institutional Giving team is the knowledge center for bilateral, multilateral, and foundation investment for Sesame Workshop's global early childhood development programming and drives impact for Sesame's programs by securing strategically- and value-aligned investments and partnerships. This position will be responsible for providing support for a wide range of business development activities, the most significant of which are : landscape research and prospecting, developing pitch decks / briefs for donor meetings, coordinating proposal development and delivery, including proposal timeline development and coordination of proposal team deliverables.What You'll Do

  • Conduct prospect research to identify new donors to support Sesame Workshop's priorities
  • Create clear, concise donor briefs using a range of available information resources
  • Maintain and expand database of relevant events, webinars, and conferences that align with Sesame Workshop's priorities and support team review of attendees for fundraising / networking purposes (e.g. CIES, UNGA, Water Week, etc).
  • Support research and development of due diligence and bid board submissions, as required
  • Manage protocols, timelines, and knowledge management and organization systems for timely submission of proposals and reports
  • Support Senior Director and Manager to submit concept notes and proposals; may include copyediting, tracking proposal deliverables, coordinating technical teams to provide proposal inputs, coordinating and supporting senior level review and sign-offs
  • With supervision, lead on the development of expressions of interest / early-stage concepts for Sesame's broader priorities (mass media, general support)
  • Create and tailor donor-facing materials for external meetings, including agendas, briefs, decks, and / or leave-behinds
  • Enter and track prospects and grant activity in Salesforce
  • Manage the contracting process for grants and contracts, including for compliance-heavy government and multilateral contractsYour Experience
  • B.A. degree or similar experience
  • 2-3 years' experience in foundation and / or government project management or business development - a focus on early education, humanitarian, or crisis-affected programs a plus
  • Must be a strong project manager with previous experience coordinating large proposals or similarly complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Willingness to learn and open to feedback
  • Excellent writing, organization, verbal communication, and desk research skills
  • Strong relationship management skills with a range of organization types
  • Strong data management and visualization skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Must be a self-starter and work independently as well as in a team setting
