We are currently looking for a hardworking and motivated student to join our IT team as an Information Technology Intern.

Join Settlers Hospitality Group’s team of hospitality professionals as they create and deliver high-quality restaurant and hotel experiences to hundreds of guests across multiple boutique hotels and restaurants.
The technology intern will work directly with the Senior Director of IT at our headquarters location in the historic Hawley Silk Mill to support IT processes for multi-concept hotels and restaurants. The technology intern will gain an understanding of how to implement products aligned to property vision, how to navigate , and how to partner across departments to ensure a superlative guest experience. This exciting opportunity provides Accounting Interns the opportunity to learn how to work with a team of hospitality professionals to manage financial processes in a dynamic, multi-concept business.
This opportunity is a traditional (semester-long), part-time internship.
Logistics:
- May start date, can continue through fall and winter semester
- 8 hours per week (can be more if candidate is interested)
- $15/hour
- This opportunity will be in-person/on-site

Projects and Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with the Director of Technology, assist Settlers Hospitality's businesses with hardware and software challenges that may arise
- Execute independent projects that will provide opportunity to practice organizational, communication, and troubleshooting skills
- Work with the Settlers Hospitality team to plan and execute IT processes
- Exposure to managing standard IT procedures for hospitality including reservations, ordering, web site management, security, guest communications
- Support opening and development of new projects within the hospitality group
- Traditional IT practice and insight will be included!
Requirements
Qualifications:
- IT coursework of any collegiate level
- Strong teamwork skills
- Positive, professional, outgoing personality with a hands-on attitude
- Microsoft, Office Suite, and proficient computer and internet skills
- Passion for food, beverage, tourism, and hospitality
- Able to work a flexible schedule, which may include working weekends, and holidays
- Basic proficiency with both hardware and software, with ability to learn new programs independently and efficiently
- Good communication skills
- Rudimentary troubleshooting for workstations and laptops
- Reliable transportation with the expectation to travel between business locations
- Cellular phone service
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds (with or without reasonable accommodations)
- Some nights and weekends are required especially during holiday periods
