JOB OVERVIEW: 

Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables, ensuring that the restaurant's service standards are met. Provide assistance with seating and always help prepare the restaurant for service while maintaining a clean and tidy dining area. Manage the reservation book/system and assist in monitoring guests' needs.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

·       Report for duty punctually, always wearing the correct uniform and adhering to the highest grooming standards.  

·       Welcome all guests in a positive, warm, and professional manner, ensuring they have a great first impression of the restaurant and are promptly seated at their tables.  

·       Assist with the efficient registration and check-in of all arriving guests.  

·       Answer all incoming calls promptly and courteously, making sure that all telephone messages and emails are addressed appropriately.  

·       Maintain complete knowledge of:  

o   Daily restaurant covers.  

o   Hours of operation for each outlet, ambiance, menu selections, and price ranges.  

o   Featured entertainment at the restaurant.  

o   Menu items, specials, out-of-stock items, and available liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections.  

·       Table, seat, and station numbers, proper table setups, room capacity, and dress codes.  

·       Report and log any complaints or comments to the Management Team on duty.  

·       Ensure that all dietary requirements are noted accurately for party bookings and communicated to the kitchen in a timely manner.  

·       Maintain the cleanliness of all menus, ensuring they are free from smudges, torn corners, stains, etc.  

·       Recognize and greet regular clients appropriately, updating their profiles regularly.  

·       Acknowledge and bid farewell to all departing guests, leaving them with a lasting positive impression.  

·       It is vital that all information remains confidential and is not disclosed to anyone outside the company, including guests and employees, unless otherwise authorized.  

  PHYSICAL ABILITIES 

·       Ability to grasp, lift, move, or push goods weighing up to 25 pounds

·       The job involves navigating between tables and corners.

·       The job involves moderate handling of trays and lifting.

·       Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 8 or more hours during the work shift.

·       Ability to tolerate different levels of noise and light.
