Candidate Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the pricing process across multiple franchise groups. This includes developing list prices and price guidelines for new products and services through strategic planning and marketing principles.

  • New Product Introduction Pricing: Apply marketing strategy and pricing fundamentals to set prices for new offerings, develop financial models.
  • Identify Customer Value Drivers: Determine value drivers by segment for strategic tests.
  • Identify Differential Benefits: Recognize differential benefits from Quest Diagnostics offering, including tests and value-added services.
  • Translate Benefits into Clinical and Economic Value: Translate differential benefits into clinical and economic value for patients, providers, and payers.
  • Develop Customer-Facing Value Communication Tools: Develop communication tools and implement them across various sales channels.
  • Target Price System Introduction: Drive a change process to set target prices for offerings by segment, channel, and region.
  • Annual Price Change: Partner with Commercial Pricing Operations to design and implement annual price changes.
  • B2B Pricing Support: Provide support for Business Development pricing in new ventures and markets.
  • Science & Innovation Pricing Support: Provide support for Science & Innovation pricing in new technologies.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience.
  • BS degree in Finance, Marketing, or Economics.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Direct B2B pricing experience, with healthcare pricing being valuable.
  • Finance, marketing, or sales mix with strong quantitative capabilities.
  • Pricing analysis ability to apply pricing strategy to complex high-technology healthcare markets.
  • Project management ability to independently manage multiple complex projects.
  • Technology mindset to understand emerging technology opportunities.
  • Modeling ability to build a quantitative expression of differential customer value.
  • Sales ability to work with sales teams to implement win rate improvement tools.
  • Strong Communication Skills to distill complicated information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Creativity to create new approaches, tools, and solutions across multiple technologies and channels.
  • Persuasion to motivate sales teams to adopt new selling approaches.
