What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr Chemist Food position at SGS?
To perform routine ICPOES and ICPMS analyses instrument maintenance and data reporting. To provide leadership direction and training to the Chemists and Technicians. Handles samples performs analyses and reports accurate and timely data according to Laboratory Operating Procedures and test methodologies.
J OB FUNCTIONS
- Perform routine sample analysis for client samples
- Responsive to any quality related problem and immediate initiation of investigation corrective actions and follow up.
- Maintains and verifies equipment.
- Maintains records of all quality activities as documented in Operating Procedures and test methods.
- Handles samples and performing analyses according to Operating Procedures and test methods.
- Reports deficiencies or malfunction to the supervisor.
- Identifies and records nonconformities on Corrective Action Requests.
