Systems and Help Desk Intern

Position Type: Part time or Full time; depending on candidate and availability

 

Position Summary: Reports to the Network and Systems Administrator and collaborates with the Database Administrator to support the IT needs for the church and its ministries. The ideal candidate has relevant knowledge of network technologies and enterprise network systems, and server/data management. Provides support to help all church ministries leverage technology to reach people for the gospel.

»      Possesses good problem-solving skills, with the ability to separate the root cause from symptoms and identify gaps

»      A member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church or willing and able to become a member
 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Network and Systems Administrator in resolving user help-desk tickets, including training, and hardware/software needs, both on campus and remotely.

  • Troubleshoot business machine (copiers, printers, postage, and folders) issues on campus and work as needed with the external vendor support.

  • Assist the Network and Systems Administrator with campus wide systems such as Phone, Wifi, Security Cameras, and Door Access.

  • Assist and research of software recommendations that could potentially improve the efficiencies of a wide variety of ministry services.

  • Creation and management of network accounts and permissions.

  • Attend monthly All Team meetings.

  • Research, identify and help resolve issues, or escalate to the Network and Systems administrator as necessary.

  • Perform other related duties that may benefit the church as directed by the Network & Systems Administrator or Executive leadership.
