The National Account Manager for Cougar Systems at Cougar USA will be responsible for leading, building, and managing a high-performance sales team comprised of distributors and internal sales support. This role plays a critical part in achieving the company’s growth goals by driving revenue, expanding into new geographic territories, and building long-term relationships with customers. The National Account Manager will focus on delivering the Cougar Promise through proactive communication and high-performance solutions that align with Cougar’s core values.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- New Business Development & Sales Growth:
- Identify, pursue, and acquire new distributor accounts to expand Cougar USA’s market presence.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and meet performance targets.
- Build strong relationships with distributors and key decision-makers to increase long-term business opportunities.
- Travel & Distributor Engagement:
- Travel throughout the U.S. to meet with existing and potential distributors, ensuring alignment with Cougar USA’s sales objectives
- Conduct in-person and virtual meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations for distributors
- Represent Cougar USA at industry trade shows, distributor meetings, and networking events.
- Distributor Support & Relationship Management:
- Provide ongoing support and training to existing distributor partners to maximize their success.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned distributors, ensuring proactive communication and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with the internal sales team to develop strategic growth plans for key accounts.
- Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities.
- Provide feedback and insights to the sales and marketing teams to refine sales strategies and messaging.
Performance Metrics/KPIs:
- Number of new distributor accounts acquired.
- Sales revenue generated and commission earnings.
- Growth of existing distributor accounts.
- Frequency and effectiveness of distributor engagement.
- Successful completion of training milestones related to product and sales knowledge.
