Shaffer Distributing, established 95 years ago, stands as a national leader in the family entertainment center, arcade and vending equipment distribution industry.

The Sales Executive is responsible for engaging with their existing customer base in a proactive and ongoing manner to build and maintain the relationship. In addition, the Sales Executive will expand business with current customers and acquire new business using various techniques.

Main duties for the Sales Executive include:

  • Cold call as appropriate to ensure a robust pipeline
  • Work with all company departments/teams to facilitate customer solutions for:
  1. Service Issues
  2. Warranty Issues
  3. Parts Needs
  4. Accounts Receivables issues
  • Maintain/increase business with existing customer base
  • Proactive engagement with new customers with the "intent" to secure and acquire new business
  • Attend conferences, meetings, educational seminars and other industry events
  • Meet quarterly and annual minimum expectations set forth by Shaffer

Position Requirements

The ideal Sales Executive will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • 4-6 years outside sales experience
  • Proven track record of face-to-face sales and achieving sales targets
  • Moderate experience using Microsoft Office Suite & CRMs
  • Must have a high degree of accountability in delivering results
  • Operations knowledge preferred
  • Ability to Travel up to 25% of the time; you will need to travel to customer locations across the United States to meet customers for new business opportunities as well as to attend industry tradeshows and events.
  • Reliable source of transportation and valid driver’s license
  • Knowledge of Family Entertainment and/or Vending industry is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation will be salary for the first 6 months and will then go to base salary with commissions once established.
