- Prospect for new catering business using a variety of methods including phone calls, outside sales calls, trade shows, attending community functions, and internet prospecting.
- Record any contacts made on the catering contacts spreadsheet. Contact at least 50 new clients each week and submit the catering spreadsheet / marketing calendar every Friday by end of day. Make 150 or more catering sales calls per week total, including 50 new contacts.
- Provide your contact information to all clients for order placements.
- Follow up on catering leads to finalize quotes and place orders.
- Keep a copy of all orders for records and submit at the end of each period for commission.
- Coordinate delivery of orders.
- Maintain relationships with current customers through biweekly calls, on-site visits, and emails.
- Use various means to secure new customers, including taking samples from the store and offering free parties.
- Maintain a positive attitude and be flexible.
- Handle and follow up on online inquiries.
- Assist in store operations, catering, deliveries, events, or any other requested activities.
- Schedule and coordinate spirit night fundraisers and analyze performance.
- Communicate openly and honestly with all subordinates and superiors.
- Assist in training delivery personnel.
Compensation : This position has a base salary plus commission.
