Position Summary/Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Shanty Creek Resorts is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Skibra Shuttle Driver to safely transport skiers around Schuss Mountain. The Skibra shuttle, painted in a distinctive zebra pattern, plays a vital role in delivering a seamless guest experience, connecting resort areas conveniently. This is a seasonal position with variable hours, requiring a professional driver with a valid chauffeur's license.
Position Duties/Responsibilities:
- Operate the Skibra shuttle, transporting skiers and guests safely to and from designated resort locations.
- Provide friendly and informative service, assisting guests with questions about the resort and local amenities.
- Ensure the shuttle is clean, presentable, and stocked with necessary supplies daily.
- Conduct routine pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
- Follow all traffic regulations and resort safety guidelines, adjusting driving practices as needed for mountain and winter road conditions.
- Promptly report any vehicle issues to the maintenance team.
- Adhere to Shanty Creek Resorts' standards for guest service while maintaining a professional, positive attitude.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Guest Service/Conduct
All Shanty Creek employees must uphold personal and professional accountability. Employees are expected to adhere to resort policies and standards while providing guests with exceptional service. Since all staff may interact with guests daily, the following standards apply:
- Personal Appearance and Uniforms: Employees must meet the appearance and uniform standards outlined in the Shanty Creek Resorts Employee Handbook.
- Service Tools: Utilize all tools provided to ensure prompt and accurate guest service.
- Professional Conduct: Maintain professionalism and the highest standards of guest service in interactions with guests, coworkers, and vendors.
- High-Profile Interaction: As a visible role, the Skibra Shuttle Driver will interact with guests regularly and must consistently provide friendly, helpful service.
Professional Experience/Education/Skills
Professional Experience:
- A minimum of 6 months to 2 years of professional driving experience.
Education:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalency.
Required Skills:
- Valid chauffeur's license.
- Ability to pass a background screening prior to employment.
- Prior experience driving shuttles, buses, or similar vehicles (preferred).
- Proficiency in safe driving, particularly in winter weather conditions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to exceptional guest service.
Working Conditions/Environment
- Seasonal Position: Hours vary depending on guest demand.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and peak winter season hours.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and assist guests in and out of the vehicle as needed.
