Overview
Under the direct supervision of the Care Coordinator, the Direct Care Worker will be compassionate and dedicated to providing essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The Direct Care Worker will demonstrate a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires a blend of practical skills and emotional intelligence, particularly in knowing what it means to “take care of someone else life”.
Duties (but not limited to) …
1. Following the Individualized Service Plan (ISP) of recipient as requested
2. Arriving on time at the recipient’s home
3. Completing time sheets and progress notes accurately and on time
4. Attending team meetings as scheduled
5. Completing training hours as required
6. Following Share Care USA policies and procedures
7. Have reliable electronic devices that can be used for EVV on every shift work
8. Assist client with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and meal preparation.
9. Must provide assistance with keeping the home clean and tidy.
10. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive and engaging environment.
11. Monitor and document patient observations, reporting any changes in condition or behavior to the healthcare team. He does walk but sometimes can be unsteady.
12. Ensure clients rights are upheld and respected at all times.
13. Must have a vehicle and a valid Driver’s License.
14. Assist with mobility and transportation needs, to outings or to / from doctors appointments.
15. Administer first aid as required and follow safety protocols to maintain a safe living environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $9.00 per hour
