What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Residential Services position at Shared Values?
Job Function:
To supervise, coordinate, guide, develop and evaluate the implementation of Program Services and supports given to the individuals served, within the guidelines of the Office of Developmental Programs regulations. Provides quality management and support to agency.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD), or other Human Services field with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a senior manager in an organization providing residential services for individuals with IDD.
- Knowledge of IDD standards and requirements and Department of Human Services, Chapter 6400 and 6500 Regulations.
- Certified Medication trainer or Participate in Medication administration training and be certified within 6 months (as training availability permits).
- Knowledge of OLTL Regulations.
Some Duties Include:
- Review program plans and related documents for compliance with professional quality and regulatory standards; coordinate efforts with the Program Director to assure the thorough review of all plans.
- Input and upkeep of incidents in HCSIS.
- Attend Trainings
- Coordinate the development of the staff in-service training schedule; provide training for staff in relevant areas, as needed; ensure accurate documentation of accumulated training hours for all employees.
- Develop Forms for organization as needed.
- Keep management informed of all pertinent information regarding Residential and Daily Services.
- View ODP communication emails daily and ensure agency is meeting deadlines.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures.
- Serve as liaison with governmental agencies for the individual’s benefit.
- Participate in all inspections, audits, and licensure reviews, meetings, events concerned with licensure status, and monitoring affairs for the welfare of individuals and staff of Chapter 6400/ 6500 and OLTL programs.
- Collect all consumer documentation monthly and update consumer files monthly.
- Ensure Consumer files are organized correctly and up to date with information.
- Complete Assessments, Lifetime medicals, and Quarterly reports.
- Have direct communication with Community manager on a weekly basis.
- Attend ISP and Team meetings
- Quality Management of agency
- Participate in termination of staff.
- Participate in on call rotation
- Complete IM4Qs, Qualifications,
- Complete plans of corrections for State Agencies.
- Directly supervise program specialist.
- Complete program specialist responsibilities in the absence of one for your caseload.
- Seek trainings for staff to fit the needs of the agency.
