Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor systems [e.g. Framework, CUBE, FICS, etc.] performance to insure accuracy of transactions, account information and payment processing as it relates to collection activity and to ensure efficient and effective integration of those systems.
  • Prepare reports on delinquent accounts, losses, TDR’s, Charge Offs, repossessions, REO’s and recoveries as requested by Management.
  • Handling members ’calls or other parties with limited direction regarding late payments, payment issues, Negative Share repayments, promises to pay, estates, settlements, collection agency accounts or information needed to facilitate the collection of loans or liquidate assets.
  • Research problems related to member's accounts and CPI placement and perform loan maintenance as necessary to ensure accuracy, quality member service and efficient/effective management of the loan portfolio.
  • Performs offset transactions, ensures timely follow up to requests from attorneys and managers and posts recovery payments without direction needed.
  • Prepare reinstatement proposals, assist with mediations; maintain adequate insurance coverage; ensure property tax payments; legal fees and invoices.
  • Perform support duties in a timely manner including but not limited to: taking calls from members and third parties; processing forms/claims; performing account maintenance. File insurance claims, prepares documents, processing invoices and executes account changes on system, set up files and reports for judgments, assigns and processes collection agency accounts, probate, foreclosure, REO, repossession and necessary motions in a timely manner.
  • Assist the Collectors with mail, phone, email or other appropriate contact methods to obtain promises for payment from members.
  • Work with attorneys and others to protect Sharonview’s interests in a variety of actions, including but not limited to: facilitate actions for foreclosures, bankruptcies evictions, judgments, repossessions, probate, title and insurance claims.
  • Proactively provide assistance to any/all teammates as needed; perform any/all other duties and accountabilities as management may from time to time assign.
  • Effectively communicate with vendors to identify and rectify system issues independently; effectively communicate with management if any system issues/concerns are identified or of process improvement ideas.
  • Exceed member expectations by establishing realistic objectives, sharing those with the member and meeting those objectives; take responsibility for handling member inquiries directly or making proper referrals to more appropriate staff; use every interaction with a member to meet their needs, to educate them on Sharonview products and services and thank them for their business.
  • Other duties may be assigned by Management from time to time.

Qualification Requirements: *

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) from an accredited four-year college or university and two or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Repossession processing experience a must.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with an outgoing, friendly personality. Information can be exchanged in person, in writing, by telephone or e-mail with a wide variety of persons, both internally and externally [outside the organization]; Active Listening: giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Proficiency with a variety of computer software applications, including MS Word and MS Outlook.
  • Ability to work well with people and to create a self-motivating work environment. Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time; trustworthy, caring and empathetic.
  • Strong organization skills, high level of accuracy, and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
