The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.
This is a full-time position located in San Diego, CA.
What You Will Do
The Talent Acquisition specialist provides, promotes and maintains a highly professional, visible and integrated image of Sharp HealthCare Recruitment. Utilizes established and develops new outreach opportunities with community and educational organizations for recruitment and workforce purposes. This position assists in the development of long and short-term strategies for recruitment and retention in collaboration with clients. Provides consultations to SHC clients on recruitment and selection process activities, implements and assists with retention planning projects, provides training sessions for managers, supervisors and leads. Able to make independent decisions on applicant qualifications and appropriateness of hire with recommendations to management clients.
Required Qualifications
- 4 Years Experience in recruitment or human resource services for multi-sited company or a large organization (equivalent clinical experience for specialty areas in lieu of direct human resource or recruitment experience will be considered),

Essential Functions
Participates as a member of the recruitment team, acting as a resource for other staff members and a collaborative member of HR team to foster process improvement.
Effectively communicates ideas and recommendations in appropriate forums. Promotes a positive image of HR and Recruitment to SHC and externally.
Formal and informal feedback from clients and team members, Manager and Recruitment and Workforce Planning Director.
Represents system-wide and facility approach to workforce planning on system-wide and facility task forces.
Conducts Selection Interview Training sessions for appropriate levels of staff with satisfactory evaluation scores.
Creates and implements management training opportunities and consulting strategies which support integrated long term workforce planning initiatives for SHC (i.e. succession planning, retention planning), facilitating a training plan regarding workforce planning issues (Selection Interviewing, Hiring Negotiations). Researches, recommends and facilitates the use of alternative sourcing strategies (i.e., New Graduate Registered Nurse programs, preceptorships.
Provides comprehensive and effective consulting services on recruitment planning related issues for clients.
Develops and maintains working relationships with clients, balancing services and consultant role.
Develops indicators to monitor and evaluate candidate sourcing for quality of services provided for return on investment. (ROI)
Follows up with management concerns regarding recruitment strategies and consulting activities and resolves issues with input or involvement of Recruitment Manager and Director.
Recognizes potential problems and possible alternative solutions collaborating with hiring manager as soon as possible.
Proactively incorporates client feedback into further development of strategies and services by contributing suggestions in team meetings.
Conducts searches for all position levels up to and including Manager utilizing multifaceted sourcing strategies.
Develops and maintains relationships with appropriate internal resources, universities / schools, community resources, professional organizations and candidates to create highly qualified applicant pools for SHC.
Facilitates presentation of candidates to appropriate hiring managers.
During screening, interview and selection process, consults with hiring managers and other interviewers to ensure integrity of hiring process is maintained with presentation of most qualified finalists.
Assists in offer negotiations as needed, with knowledge of SHC hiring guidelines, internal equity and market demands.
Allocates appropriate percentages of time for sourcing and networking.
Refers qualified applicants in a timely manner (within 24 hours of screening or in-person interview).
Facilitates references on final candidates within reasonable time frame (within 48 hours for 85% of candidates).
Assists managers in coordination of candidate interviews, panel interviews, timely selections and offer negotiations.
Interprets, understands, stays current on state and federal regulations including but not limited to : pay transparency and immigration issues that govern recruitment activities, OFCCP and EEO. Communicates appropriate information to clients' groups and ensures information is disseminated to clients.
