What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night/Weekend Dispatcher position at Sharp Transportation?
Sharp Transportation is a Wellsville based company with over 30 years in Cache Valley. As we continue to grow we are looking for additional help to keep things running smoothly on weekends.
We are looking for a motivated Individual to serve as a part-time dispatcher for weekday nights, and to help cover weekends.
Duty's include:
- Staying in contact with customers and adjusting drivers plans as needed.
- Providing after hours support to our truck drivers, answering their questions and helping to solve problems
-Doing any needed planning or customer comunication to keep things moving through the weekend
- Tracking truck and trailer movements and driver detention (time held at customers facilities)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Preferred experience in dispatch (not required)
- Must be willing to submit to a background check
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Every weekend
- Weekends only
