Job Responsibilities:
The payroll specialist would be assigned clients and have the following responsibilities:
Payroll Processing
Monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll and sales reports and 1099s
Respond to payroll and sales tax related notices from the government
Communicate directly with clients
Greet clients entering the office
Assist other staff members with work as needed
Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Ability to learn and adapt into company processes
Detail oriented and ability to problem solve
Good technical skills to operate programs and navigate through different computer and online software
Be proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office products
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Hours:
As a full-time position, the payroll specialist will work 40 hours on regular weeks in the office from Monday to Friday. Holidays breaks and PTO during regular weeks are provided. The busy hours for the payroll specialist are the quarter-end months of January, April, July, and October. During these quarter-end months, these hours are extended. The payroll specialist is expected to complete 50 hours a week for 3 weeks in January and July, and 50 hours a week for 4 weeks in April and October. Any hours that exceed the minimum required hours will be banked as additional PTO. Employees may choose to start their workday anytime from 7am – 10am.

Paid-time-off includes 2 weeks of vacation and 2 sick days per year, and any additional time accumulated through the hours bank system. In the hours bank, any hours that exceed the 40 hours per regular week or 50 hours per week during quarter-end months, are added to a reserve to be used as PTO.
