Description: Shawsheen Valley Technical High School is seeking a dynamic and experienced educator to join our leadership team. The Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment plays a pivotal leadership role in shaping and advancing the District’s educational programs. This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and coordination of the District’s curriculum, instruction, assessments, and staff professional development, ensuring alignment with state standards and industry needs. The Director will collaborate closely with administrators, educators, and staff to deliver high-quality instructional practices and foster a culture of excellence. Qualifications: •Minimum of 10 years of successful experience in teaching and/or administration. oPreference for experience within a vocational-technical school district. oAdministrative experience is highly preferred. •Master’s degree in Education or a related field. •Current MA DESE licensure in administration. •MA DESE SEI Endorsement. •In-depth knowledge of statewide educational initiatives, industry standards, and post-secondary requirements. •Proven ability to evaluate and enhance instructional practices and educational programs. •Expertise in developing and revising standards-based curricula. •Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. •Proven ability to motivate, inspire, and collaborate effectively with teams. •Skilled in driving change and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. •Strong leadership, organizational, and managerial skills. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the Principal’s primary designee to design, revise, and implement curriculum across all departments, ensuring alignment with state frameworks and industry standards. Serve as the Principal’s primary designee to lead initiatives to foster high-quality instructional practices and consistent student achievement across all programs and departments. Serve as the Principal’s primary designee to develop, implement and evaluate comprehensive assessment measures across all programs and departments. Serve as the Principal’s primary designee to lead the planning and execution of professional development programs for staff, creating a district-wide professional development plan each year. Work closely with the Principal and Director Team to coordinate and align all curricular and instructional initiatives. Support the implementation of competency tracking in all vocational/technical programs. •Implement the district’s professional development plan, prepare budgets, promote activities to all staff, recruit instructors and/or consultants, and assess the effectiveness of training initiatives. Oversees application of district policies and procedures regarding PDPs, Salary Credits, tuition reimbursement, and other benefits related to professional development activities. Coordinate and manage logistics for state and federal assessments, including MCAS and ACCESS testing. Provide leadership and supervision at various school events, both on and off-campus, including athletics, student activities, and other community engagements. Fulfill additional responsibilities and duties as assigned by the Principal or Superintendent-Director.
