QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant, executive assistant, or in a similar role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, handle confidential information with discretion, and maintain professionalism at all times.
- Proficiency in Aspen, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and other office software.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands effectively.
- A proactive attitude with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of office procedures, school systems, and educational policies is a plus.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a confidential assistant to the principal, managing a wide range of sensitive and important tasks.
- Assist the principal with the scheduling of meetings, appointments, and school events, ensuring effective time management.
- Attend all meetings of the School Council, and serve as the Recording Secretary, for up to 10 meetings per year.
- Manage communication on behalf of the principal, including answering calls, emails, and other correspondence, and prioritizing items for attention.
- Act as a liaison between the principal and school staff, students, parents, and the community.
- Assist in managing confidential student and staff records, ensuring privacy and compliance with district and state regulations.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure effective execution of school policies, procedures, and objectives.
- Provide logistical support for school events, meetings, and school-related activities.
- Assist the Principal in making all arrangements for graduation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of school events, activities, and changes in policies.
- Report to the Principal any developments or problems requiring their awareness or action.
- Perform such other tasks and assume other such responsibilities as the Principal may assign or delegate.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Calendar year position. $77,179 - $79,899, salary to be determined by the Superintendent-Director.
