Position Summary
Performs responsible clerical work involved in scheduling, analyzing, processing, and maintaining policy-level financial, statistical, and data control reports and records with wide latitude for the exercise of initiative and independent judgment, to act in a lead capacity.
Pay Grade: 43
Salary Commensurate with Experience and Education
Minimum Qualifications
1. Four (4) years of experience in appropriate clerical, bookkeeping, data processing or statistical work; AND
2. High school diploma or possess a GED; OR
3. Three (3) years of experience in appropriate clerical, bookkeeping, data processing, or statistical work; and one (1) year of college study (30 semester hours or 36 quarters).
4. PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Prepares complex statements, reports, and/or analyses, and resolutions.
2. Verifies any or all information compiled, analyzed, recorded, and maintained.
3. Maintains and determines the disposition of all records associated with the function of the job.
4. Makes decisions regarding work and various types of records requiring the use of independent judgment.
5. Oversees and/or directs the work of a small group of clerical personnel.
6. Trains new employees in work functions and tasks.
7. Resolves difficult and complex problems.
8. Perform other related duties as required.
KSAs
1. Knowledge of laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations affecting the record-keeping operations of a department and skill in applying them.
2. Ability to plan, organize, and maintain an even flow of work.
3. Knowledge of business English and math.
4. Ability to compose general correspondence and write and type documents for a variety of needs.
5. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other software.
6. Ability to analyze and solve problems and exercise good judgment.
7. Ability to express ideas clearly, concisely, and effectively verbally and in writing.
8. Ability to communicate effectively with the public, co-workers, and other departments.
9. May require specialized knowledge, skills, or abilities in specified work functions or areas.
