What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Gene Shepherd Park Recreation Aide position at Shelby Township Michigan?
The Charter Township of Shelby Parks, Recreation, & Maintenance Department is now accepting applications for a Chief Gene Shepherd Park Recreation Aide. Interested applicants must be at least 18 years old, be available to work approximately 25-30 hours a week, Monday-Sunday between the hours of 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The hourly wage for this position is $15.39 per hour, no benefits. Some of the job duties associated with this classification would include, but would not be limited to:
- Interact with Spray Park and general park attendees
- Utilize a computer system to coordinate concessions and daily/annual admission sales
- Handle monies from concession sales
- Work effectively with other staff, volunteers and participants of activities
- Train new hires
- Maintain order and enforce rules and regulations
- Prepare accurate reports
- Assist in overseeing daily Spray Park operations
- Keep facilities in a clean and orderly condition
- Gives information to the public regarding the park and spray park
- Setting up for program activities and serving as an on-site assistant
- Stacking chairs and setting up tables.
- Locking and securing buildings as necessary
- Assisting with other Parks and Recreation events and programs
