What You Will Be Doing:
Manage Shelter’s vendor portfolio to improve operational efficiency, cost savings, risk management, and enhance collaboration between the company and its vendors. Develop policies, standards, and procedures for sourcing and procuring vendors. Define, analyze, and assess key performance metrics to ensure vendors meet business needs and contractual obligations. Develop an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across segments and enterprise wide. Collaborate with peers, key partners, and senior leaders across the enterprise to understand their needs and drive effective vendor solutions.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- Typically requires 5 or more years of insurance industry experience, preferably with some experience in insurance IT solutions.
- Typically requires 5 or more years of experience in vendor selection and negotiation strategies, managing complex RFPs, and with an enterprise-wide vendor management system.
- Proven analytical skills, highly collaborative mindset, excellent relationship-building skills, and proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
