Salary: Stipend Position: $424 - $7,208, depending on experience and the number of assistant football coaches hired (Range is based on current 2024-2025 SAAA Bargained Agreement, and current IPD).
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt for classified employees and exempt for current, certificated employees.
Schedule: Fall 2025 season August 20th, 2025 through December 6th, 2025. Hours per day to be mutually agreed upon between the Athletic Director and the selected Head Coach.
Benefits: Benefits are in alignment with School Board Policies and Procedures as well as the Shelton Athletic/Activities Association Bargained Agreement.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous, successful experience in sport as participant and/or coach preferred.
- Ability and willingness to maintains certification in CPR and First Aid.
- Such other qualifications as set by the WIAA.
- The ability to pass a federal background check.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and tact with all aspects of employment.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with students, staff, families, and the community.
- Ability and willingness to be dynamic, energetic, motivated, and committed to developing a successful program.
- Possession of strong leadership skills.
- Ability and willingness to relate well to student-athletes and demonstrate care for them beyond the sport experience.
- Possession of a deep understanding of track.
- Strong communication, public relation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to write reports and correspondence consistent with the duties of this position.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure the appropriate flow of information, collaborative efforts, and feedback.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret information.
- Ability to perform basic math using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals consistent with the duties of the position.
