Shepherd Safety Systems is looking for a tenured Inside Sales professional who primarily works in the office to sell products or services to customers through phone, email, and online channels, by identifying new leads, understanding customer needs, presenting solutions, and closing deals, cold calling and lead follow-up, key responsibilities include generating new sales opportunities, building customer relationships, and maintaining accurate sales data within Shepherd’s CRM system.  


Key responsibilities of an Inside Sales Representative: 

  • Lead generation: Actively search for new potential customers through cold calling, email outreach, and utilizing lead lists.  
  • Qualifying leads: Assess the needs and potential of each lead to determine if they are a good fit for the Shepherd’s products and services. 
  • Customer interaction: Contact potential customers via phone and email to present product features, answer questions, and address concerns. 
  • Sales presentations: Deliver compelling presentations outlining the benefits of the company's offerings to prospective clients. 
  • Account management: Maintain ongoing relationships with existing clients, providing support and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling. 
  • CRM management: Update and maintain customer information within the company's CRM system to track sales activity and progress.  
  • Market research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and new product developments to better understand customer needs.  
  • Reporting: Track sales metrics and provide regular updates to sales managers on performance and pipeline.  


Required skills:  

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Strong sales acumen and closing ability 
  • Ability to build rapport and establish customer relationships 
  • Comfortable with cold calling and lead generation 
  • Proficient in CRM software and sales tools 
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Knowledge of the company's products and services
