Work Hours
- Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs
- Scheduling may include holidays, nights, and weekends depending on hotel events and functions
Job Requirements
- Understand the mission, vision, and goals of the hotel
- Must be able to prioritize and work efficiently with limited supervision
- Must possess effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must possess intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, Power Point and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong team player that can partner with management and associates in a professional manner
- Utilizes an “open door” policy to address associate concerns in a timely manner
- Move, lift, carry, pull, push and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20lbs periodically
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
Job Responsibilities
- Acts as a liaison to associates for Human Resource support, inquiries and resources
- In partnership with the HR leadership team supports recruiting, onboarding, HRIS maintenance, benefits, training and enforcing company policies
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Coordinates training and tracks progress for ongoing training requirements
- Organizes and supports associate engagement initiatives and celebrations
- Prepares and manages employee files/records to ensure compliance
- Manage departmental POs
- Carries out supervisor responsibilities in accordance with hotel policies and standard operating procedures
- Follows 4 Keys service standards, all standard operation procedures, and safety standards
- Adheres to attendance and reliability standards
- Follows all additional duties as assigned by management
Job Qualifications:
- Previous HR experience preferred
- Previous hotel supervisory experience preferred
- Fundamental understanding of CA employment law, labor relations (union), recruiting and benefits preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
