Job Overview – Employee Relations Specialist – 33394
Our client is seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to serve as the primary contact for all incoming employee related investigation issues across the United States. They will handle the high case load in a full cycle manner from end to end. This person will also advise disciplinary actions to be taken if needed.
- Interpreting and explaining company policies.
- Managing the full cycle investigation process for many different types of employee relation issues.
- Conducts investigations of individual cases including identifying root causes of issues, weighing the importance and validity of information to form fact based opinions, solving problems and making formal recommendations which mitigate risk.
- Manages multiple cases (upwards of 20-30 at a time) simultaneously while prioritizing the most urgent needs.
- Thoroughly document cases in case management tool.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience navigating employment law (i.e., Title VII, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, FLSA)
- Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in human resources, business or related field.
- Minimum two (2) years’ work experience in a human resources role, with experience to include employee relations, progressive discipline, complaint procedures, training and mediation.
- Ability to facilitate challenging employee relationship discussions, influence leaders, and negotiate to best outcomes.
- Knowledge of employee relations concepts, laws and practice as well as investigative techniques required for success.
- Demonstrated skills in written and verbal communications.
- Strong interpersonal and customer care skills.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Shows initiative to improve processes.
- Collaborates positively and effectively with peers, team members, and internal/external constituents.
- Other responsibilities as necessary.
Sherpa offers benefits to contract employees who meet the following criteria:
- Must be a full-time employee (30 weekly hours/ 130 hours per month) to be eligible

- Premiums will be pre-taxed
- Sherpa pays a portion of the Employee only premium for medical
- 90 day waiting period from date of hire
