Position: Employment Specialist 1
Location: Coupeville, WA
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Flexible Scheduling
Salary Range: $23 – $29.90 per hour
Hiring Range: $23 – $26.45 per hour DOE
*Actual Salary range for this position is broader than hiring range. *

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on people’s lives? Join our Career and Community Connections Program as an Employment Specialist. In this role, you’ll assist individuals with disabilities in finding meaningful employment opportunities aligned with their career goals.
Who we are hiring:
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
· Professional appearance and attitude
· Ability to adapt services to participant needs.
· A valid WA state driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to your own vehicle are required.
· 3 years of clean MVR.
· Attention to detail.
· Time management skills are a must.
· Ability to multitask and prioritize projects.
· Familiarity with MS suite and outlook calendar
· Preferably 1 year of experience in vocational or human services
· Knowledge of working with adults with disabilities
However, we are happy to help train the right candidate.
Mileage reimbursement will be provided along with AAA membership.
What you will be doing:
1. Field/on-site visits – 80%
2. At-home admin work – 20%
3. Administration work includes case notes, building client visit calendar, and other administrative paperwork.
4. Fieldwork includes driving in a personal vehicle, visiting clients based on the calendar, and spending 1-3 hours at the client’s job site depending on needs.
5. Building strong relationships with program participants and their families
6. Assisting with resumes and helping in finding jobs based on clients’ needs.
7. Advocating for clients at their workplace.
8. Creating and maintaining a successful plan for clients.
9. Helping with clients' resume and interview skills.
10. Cold calling jobs for participants might be needed.
11. Providing participant support during job interviews and daily job training depending on needs.
