Our Shilo Inn Seaside, OR location is looking for an experienced Maintenance worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be someone who can help ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining the operational efficiency of equipment and the aesthetic beauty of the hotel property. A successful candidate will be hands-on, working on interior & exterior maintenance projects. We need someone who has a good general knowledge of construction practices including but not limited to HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Sheetrock repair, Roof repair, and general maintenance. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, carpet/floor cleaning, plumbing, caulking, etc. as instructed by Chief Engineer or hotel manager

• Understands and executes preventative maintenance in all guest rooms and public areas and ensure that the hotel is in brand compliance
• Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised and maintain high standards while being sensitive to time deadlines
• Report major repair needs to the Chief Engineer
• Perform minor adjustments on HVAC systems, room furniture, fixtures, and other items in the hotel
• Greeting guests in hallways in a pleasant and friendly manner
• Ensure guest privacy is respected and confidential

The minimum qualifications for the maintenance worker position are:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
• Ability to perform frequent and repetitive movements, including bending and stooping
• Must be able to lift and carry awkward heavy loads
• Must be organized and be able to perform multiple tasks at one time
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Assists all departments of the hotel in accordance with company standards
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all areas of responsibility
• Policing debris from exterior grounds
• Maintain all public areas as instructed by the supervisor
• Light maintenance
• Stocking supplies
• Attending to guest service requests
• Greeting guests in hallways in a pleasant and friendly manner
