Shiloh Veterinary Hospital is looking for a dedicated Veterinary Client Care Specialist (Receptionist) to join our team. What You'll Do:
As a Veterinary Client Care Specialist, you'll be responsible for providing excellent service to our clients while supporting the veterinary team in day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include:
- Answering phone calls and greeting clients with professionalism and kindness
- Taking concise notes during client interactions
- Managing stressful situations with patience, especially in sensitive times like euthanasia
- Handling multiple computer programs (we use ezyVet) for communication, data entry, and storage
- Scheduling appointments and processing payments
- Educating clients on pet care, including vaccinations, nutrition, and preventative exams
- Keeping the workspace clean and organized
- Providing empathy and support to both pets and clients
Qualifications:
- Outgoing, friendly, and able to build strong relationships
- Strong communication skills (verbal, auditory, and written)
- Excellent grammar and typing skills (please proofread your resume carefully)
- Comfortable speaking on the phone and assisting clients in a professional manner
- Proficient with computers and multitasking
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks (stooping, bending, stretching)
- Attention to detail and good math skills
Preferred (but not required):
- Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist or general receptionist
- Interest in learning more about veterinary care

Pay: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour
