Legislative Policy Manager

Impact As Shipt’s Legislative Policy Manager you will report to the VP, Government Affairs (GA). In this role, you will support our GA regional leads and federal team by providing comprehensive legislative review, analysis, and response. You will do this by working closely with Shipt’s legal department and other business functions to evaluate the potential impact of proposed legislation in the organization, as well as by working with external partners in industry trade associations. While working with the various teams, you will develop a subject matter expertise and assist in drafting alternative approaches and amendments when necessary, and support the creation of legislative testimony and other correspondence. What You’ll Need to Be Successful 2 years of experience in government, corporate or non-profit government affairs/policy work with knowledge of the legislative process, experience around advocacy and lobbying, and project management experience You’re a connector and enjoy fostering strong relationships with business partners and industry trade associations. You have excellent organizational skills that will be used to maintain an up-to-date tracking system for all relevant legislative activities and prepare regular reports on. legislative/regulatory activity, legislative trends, and their implications for the organization. You're a curious person and this is exhibited by conducting and coordinating policy research on existing and emerging issues. Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and research skills Ability to travel on occasion Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience Work Arrangement Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections. Other compensation includes eligibility for an annual bonus and the potential for restricted stock units based on role. Pay Range: Metro Areas of Boston, District of Columbia, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and New York City: $74,732-$149,463 All other locations: $62,186-$124,481 Please note that the salary range above is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
