This position works out of Shoe Carnival's Corporate Headquarters at 7500 E Columbia Street, Evansville, Indiana Monday through Thursday and has the opportunity to work from home on Friday!
Starting pay: $18-$21.50/hour. Commensurate with experience.
Summary:
The Assistant Lease Administrator approves the rent-related payments to the landlords in accordance
with the terms of the lease and maintain detailed payment records for all leases. This position also assists the Asset Manager with updates to Tango, filing and other lease related items.
- Verifies all monies paid to the landlords in accordance with the terms of the lease, i.e. base rent,
- additional rents of common area maintenance expenses, real estate taxes, and insurance.
- Gathers information, prepares, and maintains Tango with current lease/amendment information.
- Maintains the digital filing system with all check copies and other documentation for each store.
- Processes all Percentage Rent and Sales Reports.
- Bills and tracks all Tenant Improvement Allowance from the Landlords.
- Updates landlord address changes, amendments, and changes in additional rent for use by Asset
Manager and Accounting.
- Reviews Landlord invoices and ledgers to reconcile accounts for outstanding amounts and
credits.
- Various other tasks are associated with the leases and rent payments.
Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- 2 years' experience with an accounting or real estate lease background or degree in related field preferred.
- Advanced training in current office practices and procedures, with the use of various office equipment.
- Strong knowledge of computer-based data processing capabilities and procedures, including Microsoft Word and Excel, preferably with 2 to 3 years' experience.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy required.
- Good communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervising management, co-workers, and outside brokers and landlord contacts.
- Strong work ethic in carrying out assigned duties in a conscientious manner, with a commitment to regular attendance at work.
- Previous experience with Tango lease administration software helpful.
