OVERVIEW:
The Receptionist will greet, assist, and provide direction and information to patients, visitors, and other guests at the facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greets patients, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each person’s visit and directs or escorts them to the appropriate location
- Answers, screens, and directs phone calls; takes messages and schedules appointments if needed
- Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items.
- Performs administrative and clerical support tasks
- Performs basic filing and recordkeeping
- Report any complaints to immediate supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This job operates in a professional office environment.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear.
- Extensive standing for long periods of time (daily) and walking long distances (daily)
- Work flow subject to frequent interruptions
- Must be able to lift up to 20lbs
- May be subject to work outside of the facility when working under inclement weather
