JOB TITLE: Human Resources Generalist
Reports to: Corporate Human Resources Director
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and fostering a positive workplace culture. This position requires a proactive approach to managing employee relations, recruitment processes, and benefits administration while contributing to the overall success of the HR department. GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for performing the duties within this job description.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Spearheads employee life cycle – recruitment, onboarding, documentation, offboarding.
2. Maintains and administers training initiatives.
3. Assists with employee communications across various media outlets.
4. Serves as first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits, company policies, and PTO.
5. Assists with Employee Benefits management including annual and new hire open enrollment and pre-enrollment education and communications.
6. Assist with maintaining employment records related to wages, promotions, transfers, terminations, evaluations, and any other personnel status changes.
7. Assist with ordering office and breakroom supplies and maintaining communal spaces and calendars
8. Assist with all company events including employee appreciation campaigns, holiday events, business meeting lunches, and customer/dignitary visits.
9. Works with Quality to ensure QMS documents are up to date.
10. Assists with special projects and any other job duty as directed by the Corporate HR Director.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Preferred 4-year degree and/or four to five years minimum experience in Human Resources
EXPERIENCE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Four to five years minimum experience in HR.
2. Basic knowledge of OSHA Regulations (injuries/worker’s compensation).
3. Knowledge of general HR policies and procedures.
4. Good oral and written communication skills.
5. Good understanding of people and ability to communicate their needs to all levels of management.
6. Ability to lead and motivate employees.
7. Experience in Google Workspace applications and HRIS systems.
8. Ability to learn and implement new systems and train others.
