Job Summary
The Supply Chain Coordinator is a key role to ensure we are in perfect alignment with our vendors to ensure we have appropriate delivery dates for our products. This role also requires a strong will and focus on results as you will partner with the customer service team to expedite the product in order to get a truck back on the road as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- Execute tactical purchasing requirements of Product Life Cycle project sourcing strategies and/or Global Supply Chain strategies and support GSC PLC PM
- Responsible for the coordination and administration of one or more strategic programs, including communication and training of members with some oversight
- Independently plans and executed project actions, RFQs, Purchase Orders in support of all customer requirements, including government regulations when applicable
- Engagement with supply base, reporting status, tracking purchased items to stock and payment
- engages with suppliers as required to expedite critical issues preventing completion to PLC Sourcing Project Manager
- Facilitates and may drive resolution on open issues, mitigates issues an risks when possible or escalates for support as appropriate
- Manage an assigned supply base, projects, and strategic initiatives to advance the in-stock performance of Autocar Parts
- Work with vendors via emails, phone, and EDI to ensure suppliers receive PO's , update delivery schedules, track inbound shipments, and communicated supply issues
- Work closely with the planners and warehouse in purchase order placement, invoice discrepancies, and maintaining inventory to satisfy customer
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in business, supply chain management, operations or specific related experience
- Experience in Supply chain or Purchasing in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of ERP processes
- Proven experience in logistics coordination or supply chain operations
- Strong understanding of logistics processes, transportation, and inventory management
