Job Responsibilities:
- Adjust network sizes to meet volume or capacity demands
- Communicate with customers, sales staff, or marketing staff to determine customer needs
- Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs or upgrades
- Design, build, or operate equipment configuration prototypes, including network hardware, software, servers, or server operation systems
- Determine specific network hardware or software requirements such as platforms, interfaces, bandwidths, or routine schemas
- Develop and implement solutions for network problems
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
- 2-4 years’ experience required
- Network/systems administration/related work experience required
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification a plus
- Knowledge of computer hardware as it relates to data storage
- Knowledge of computer software, such as configuration management software, desktop communications software, operating system software and internet directory services software
Additional Skills (Indicate if preferred or required
- Hands-on experience configuring, supporting, and deploying various Cisco and similar hardware
- Routing and switching knowledge to include networking protocols, VLANs, Spanning Tree, etc
- Technical capability to support PCs, printers, and a variety of applications (both office and production data collection and reporting type apps)
- Demonstrates initiative and quick learning ability by reaching beyond work assigned to improve output and/or help others
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with minimum supervision
- Over time, become technically adept with all the systems on site with the intent to be able to execute site playbook(s) for incident handling
- Familiarity with a variety of the IT field's concepts, practices, and procedures
- Excellent level of analytical ability, communication and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with team members and customers to solve problems and resolve issues
- Possesses strong analytical ability, communication, and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with team members and business partners
- Experience with VLANs, NAT/PAT, VPNs, IPSec, and TCP/IP protocols
- Experience with data, video, and voice services
- Knowledge using ServiceNow, BigFix, Bomgar, MSTeams & Slack, Monitoring tools.
Additional Education & Certifications (Indicate if preferred or required)
- Possess 3-10 years of IT experience supporting end-user devices (PC, printers, scanners, mobile phones, tablets, etc.)
- Experience migrating win7 to win10, to win11 OS
- Experience with basic network concepts, Cisco Switch environment, Wireless, computer rooms
