The Position: Patient Accounts Director
Employment status: Full-Time
Hours per two-week pay period: 80
Essential Job Functions:
- Supervise and lead a team of 9-12 Patient Accounts professionals
- Oversee all aspects of patient billing, including insurance claims, denial resolution, and self pay billing.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and billing best practices
- Work closely with other departments to resolve billing issues and improve processes.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to the billing team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in medical billing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- A solid understanding of patient billing practices and healthcare regulations
- Knowledge of critical access hospital billing is a plus
Education
- High school diploma
Certifications and Licenses
- Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) through HFMA required within 1 year of hire
