Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the solicitation process and create RFQs for projects.
- Perform project takeoffs and update the HeavyBid vendor database.
- Participate in preconstruction meetings with the project team.
- Prepare estimates for materials, equipment, and labor.
- Solicit quotes from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Review project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work.
- Provide value engineering options and ensure estimates are accurate.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and jobsite visits.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Viewpoint, P6, HeavyBid, and Trimble Business Center.
- Relevant experience or qualifications in civil engineering, construction management, or estimating.
- Proven experience in commercial concrete, site work, and heavy highway projects.
- A valid driver’s license and a clear driving record.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
- BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience in commercial concrete, site work, and heavy highway projects.
