What You Can Expect

Over the course of two years, you’ll get hands-on experience, be actively integrated into the day-to-day activities of your teams and gain a deep understanding of Siemens Energy. You'll rapidly build in-depth knowledge, discover solutions, and experience our business first-hand.

From day one, you will work on meaningful projects with three individually designed assignments, including one eight-months assignment abroad (Covid permitting).

You will be assigned a mentor and will shadow a role or position to support you in reaching your individual career goals and network with peers and business leaders. You’ll also have access to the resources to help you grow!

The Project Manager will work with engineering, drafting, supply chain management, manufacturing, quality, and shipping to ensure the overall scope of supply per the customer contract is achieved. You will have the opportunity to communicate with all levels of the organization, for example, explaining requirements to skilled craftspeople, technically supporting the scope of supply to other professionals, or resolving customer concerns.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • As part of our Graduate Program, you are on the Siemens Energy team. You’ll share our purpose in energizing society by supporting customers with transitioning to a more sustainable world and will work on real global issues, creating solutions that directly make an impact.
  • Take full ownership of the scope, budget, and schedule for assigned projects. Fully understand the provisions of the contract for the project, regularly advising functional representatives of salient provisions, and ensuring organizational compliance with all requirements.
  • Manage and maintain the project budget, initiate and facilitate corrective actions to maintain financial objectives and revenue recognition. Positively influence financial position, via cash flow management, working with internal accounting, and the client to ensure timely issue and collection of invoices related to milestone payments.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and management to develop relationships that are conducive to the successful completion of the project.

What You Bring

  • Leadership skills including problem-solving, big-picture focus, complex and linear thinking, effectively working under pressure, and a pleasant personality.
  • Direct experience with urgent critical-path project items, milestones, and key project deliverables.
  • Significant practical work experience up to 36 months including knowledge from internships, working student activities or employment.
  • A master's degree, doctoral degree, or equivalent experience in an engineering field.
  • Minimum of 3 months of international experience gained through studying or working.
  • Excellent English skills to work in a multi-cultural environment and be flexible and mobile during the program.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
