Siena College is accepting applications for the part-time 9-month position of Professional Part-time Writing Tutor. Reporting to the Director of the Writing Center, this position provides high-quality individual tutoring to Siena's student body. The Part-time Professional Writing Tutor is available to all students but serves primarily first and second-year, international, and ESOL students. The Part-time Professional Tutor will serve as a consistent source of writing and literacy-based support, as well as an advocate as student needs arise.
Salary: $21.41-$22.48/an hour

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
- At least two years relevant professional experience
- Knowledge and experience of: tutoring theory and practice, methods and issues in writing and literacy tutoring, and tutoring and teaching a diverse population of students
- Knowledge of TESOL methods and/or demonstrated success working with ESOL learners preferred
- Experience with Canvas, Microsoft Office, and Google Docs
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
A background screening will be required.
