Siena Heights University is a Catholic institution founded by the Adrian Dominican Sisters, located in beautiful Adrian, Michigan. With a student population averaging 1,700 undergraduates and 163 graduate-level students: with approximately 300 employees. Position Overview:

The dynamic and experienced Dean of Students plays a pivotal role in working with the Provost on a holistic approach to student learning and success, grounded in the University’s Mission and Dominican Pillars.

Essential Responsibilities:

· Monitor student progress, develop and execute programs to foster student engagements, serving as a mediator in student conflicts, maintaining student records, and overseeing the student conduct board.

· Meet with students on probation, develop plans to help them complete their degree, create initiatives to improve student wellness and handle across-campus communications about health and counseling services.

· Handle student disciplinary matters and mediate conflicts

· Coordinate responses to campus emergencies and crises impacting students

· Work with the Provost and Student Success Team to develop strategies for improving student retention and success.

· Work closely with faculty, staff, parents, and other stakeholders to address student issues and concerns

· Manage budget and resource allocation for student services and programs.

· Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations affecting conduct.

· Familiar with Title IX and decision-making for outcomes.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Experience, Abilities and Skills Required:

· Bachelor’s degree in related field of study required; master’s degree preferred.

• Proven work experience as a Dean of Students or in a similar role in student success in educational administration.
• Deep understanding of student success and conflict resolution.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and environments.
• Integrity, impeccable ethics, initiative, enthusiasm, and the ability to establish trust and credibility.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Passion for the institution’s mission, traditions, and long-term success. Consistently demonstrate the mission, vision, and values of the University.
• Demonstrate commitment and ability to:

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

1. Involves working in an office environment infrequently exposed to extreme temperatures, noise, fumes, dust, etc.

2. Sitting/standing at desk and on computer regularly.

3. Ability to travel to locations throughout the campus regularly, regionally, and beyond on occasion.

4. Ability to operate standard office equipment/technology.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
