Sierra Executive Solutions, Inc. (SES) is a 3rd party search firm seeking a Construction Superintendent to join our client company's construction family in Reno, Nevada. The Construction Superintendent works together with the Project Manager and reports to the General Superintendent. Overall job purpose is to supervise and coordinate all activities associated with building assigned project to assure that a project is completed safe, within specification, time frame, and budgetary requirements. If assigned, the Superintendent is to assist, train, and mentor assistant Superintendents on their assigned projects.
The specific job duties and responsibilities include the following : Supervises and participates in planning and set up of assigned projects; maintains care, custody, and control of the jobsite in alignment with our number one core value; works with the Project Manager / Asst. Project Manager to develop project schedule; communicates with Asst. Project Managers, Project Managers, inspectors, subcontractors, owners / architects, and suppliers as necessary to coordinate workflow, facilitate communications, and resolve construction problems; oversees the purchasing and planning of equipment and materials; supervises activities of all field workers and subcontractors on assigned projects; performs close out duties; performs general administrative and supervisory duties related to job site operations; and performs other duties as assigned.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises and participates in planning and set-up of assigned projects.
- Maintains care, custody, and control of the jobsite in alignment with our Safety Culture, which goes above and beyond standard OSHA compliance.
- Works with Project Manager / Asst. Project Manager to develop project schedule.
- Communicates with Asst. Project Managers, Project Managers, inspectors, subcontractors, owners / architects, and suppliers as necessary to coordinate workflow, facilitate communications, and resolve construction problems.
- Oversees the purchasing and planning of equipment and materials.
- Supervises activities of all field works and subcontractors on assigned projects.
- Performs close out duties.
- Performs general administrative and supervisory duties related to job site operations (e.g., compliance with company policies, state and federal laws, OSHA requirements, building codes, non-discrimination / non-harassment requirements, etc.)
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
COMPENSATION will vary based on skillset match and background. $125-$150K
