Veterinary Assistant For Rehabilitation Center
Join our Sierra Ranch Veterinary Clinic & Pet Rehabilitation Team! We are a two doctor practice, fast pace, and growing quickly! We are seeking a full time experienced veterinary assistant to join our team. We are looking for applicants willing to work in a team setting with a positive attitude. A strong work ethic and excellent communication skills are a must. You must have previous experience working in the veterinary field. The schedule we are hiring for is Monday - Thursday 7:30 am - 6:00pm.
Skills include:
- General product knowledge: medical terminology, anatomy, medications, etc.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
- Strong animal handling skills
Ability to perform:
- TPR, understands signalments.
- Laser Therapy
- Hydrotherapy
- Ultrasound
- Basic knowledge on rehab exercises
- Basic diagnostics, which includes radiographs and in-house labs
- Self-motivated
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to read and understand medical terminology
- Pharmacology knowledge
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining medical records.
- Communicating with clients regarding patient care.
- Assisting doctors with medical care of patients.
