Job Description
This position is tasked with the efficient, safe, and environmentally correct operation and growth of the Brighton Manufacturing Plant. The incumbent is expected to develop and implement new programs to achieve higher quality and productivity and be the Corporation's representative to direct and achieve our Vision in the Manufacturing Plant by cultivating an environment of confidence and trust.
Compensation Range: $175,000-187,000 bonus (annually)
Specific Responsibilities:
- Set and implement policies, goals, objectives, and procedures for the manufacturing department.
- Attain annual safety goals through a solid understanding of safety management as well as the ability to convey and enforce safety rules and procedures throughout the manufacturing organization.
- To attain annual quality and delivery goals, this position shall be familiar with the product quality demands of customers.
- Problem-solving, error-proofing and mentoring skills are key. The incumbent shall have the ability to map processes and identify non-value added activities to streamline production activities.
- Develop and implement manufacturing schedules and resource allocation, monitor production flow and ensure timely delivery.
- Assess project and resource requirements, estimating, negotiating and agreeing on budgets and timescales with managers.
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and replacement of production equipment to ensure smooth work operations
- Coordinate with R&D and procurement departments to bring new products from concept to reality
- Motivating assigned professional and factory personnel to perform at required levels to attain annual goals through solid management and coaching skills.
- Demonstrated ability to team up with the engineering, maintenance, and quality functions including participating in capital planning, preventative maintenance, and problem solving.
- Attain annual expense and/or budget goals and participates in annual capital budget to achieve promised benefits.
- Monitor production costs and identify cost-effective solutions.
- Performs functions inherent in all supervisory positions including recruitment, performance evaluation, coaching and Training & Development programs to meet or exceed safety, quality, cost, customer service goals.
- Completes other assignments as assigned by Senior Management.
Qualifications
- Manufacturing leader who is capable of pushing forward the necessary strategies and programs to increase quality, productivity and customer service.
- Strong communication skills, which are characterized by sincerity, persuasiveness and clarity of thought.
- Incumbent must have strong interpersonal skills reflecting leadership, sensitivity and the demonstrated desire and ability to foster teamwork focusing on positive cooperative communication.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; MBA desirable.
- Minimum of 10 years Manufacturing Management experience.
- Experience managing production management personnel
- Strong leader who manages fairly and consistently when applying rules, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- High levels of personal initiative, energy and ownership for success.
- Goal oriented, well organized, with excellent communication skills.
