Silver and Blue Concrete, Inc. is looking for an experienced Structural Concrete Foreman to join our team. Our company is charged with purpose in delivering our clients a level of professionalism they have not experienced and our employees a platform to achieve their fullest potential.
Concrete Foreman’s work closely with Superintendents, Project Engineers/Project Managers and others on his/her team. This position offers the opportunity to gain experience working in the commercial construction industry.
Responsibilities:
- Provide overall on-site leadership on construction project sites, offering direction, hiring and termination assistance, training, and guidance to the crew.
- Ensure crew strictly adhere to safety procedures and regulations, utilizing appropriate tools and equipment for each task.
- Lead a crew through various projects including ground up constructing consisting conventional foundation systems, caissons, stem walls, footings, retaining walls, grade beams, columns, pilasters, post tensioned foundations, etc.
- Cultivate, train, and develop employees to create opportunities for internal advancement.
- Maintain effective communication with Silver and Blue Concrete, Inc. Project Managers, Superintendents, clients, contractors, and inspectors to ensure projects are executed according to specifications and above industry standards.
- Plan and coordinate job schedules, including equipment and material requirements, to ensure timely completion of all projects within allocated hours.
- Complete projects in a timely, accurate, and safe manner, meeting or exceeding company expectation.
- Understanding project scope for successful project completion.
- Managing crews, daily tasks, budget, materials/tools, etc.
- Communicating daily with your Superintendent.
- Completing daily logs/production sheets
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge in reading and understanding blueprints, specifications, and plans.
- 3 years as a concrete foreman
- Have a valid drivers license and experience operating skid steers.
- The employee may be required to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
- Advanced knowledge of paving fundamentals & methods used in concrete repairs.
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently supervise and evaluate craft performance.
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative. Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time.
