**About the Role**
The Case-Up Supervisor at Silver Bay Seafoods LLC oversees the operation of the Case-up department, ensuring staff follows GMP and safety policies to produce high-quality frozen salmon products. This role works closely with the Production Manager and Freezer and Shipping Department to ensure a smooth, consistent packaging process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a crew of 60-80 employees.
- Communicate regularly with all departments for efficient production flow.
- Monitor attendance schedules and train staff in proper working ergonomics.
- Maintain a safe work environment, enforcing sanitation practices with Quality Assurance.
- Take corrective action on mechanical issues or safety hazards with the Production Manager and Chief Engineer.
- Lead by example in work ethic, safety protocols, and attitude.
- Other duties as assigned to support facility success.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Fish processing knowledge and quality control expertise.
- Production planning and delegation skills.
- Equipment knowledge and driving certifications (e.g., forklift).
- Safety management and problem-solving abilities.
- Leadership, communication, decision-making, conflict resolution, and customer service skills.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- 2 years' experience in processing and packing frozen salmon for European/Domestic markets.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
