Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition by assisting with cooking and serving meals.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Support residents with mobility, including lifting and transferring as necessary.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental well-being.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' health or behavior to the appropriate healthcare staff.
- Uphold resident rights by respecting their privacy, dignity, and individuality at all times.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the overall well-being of residents.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or long-term care settings is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles, including ADLs.
- Ability to cook and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.
- Physical capability to lift, move, and assist residents as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Knowledge of resident rights and commitment to upholding them in all interactions.
