Summary: Accountable for ensuring overall operational performance, reliability and integrity of clinical software applications, including ancillary applications that are integrated with diverse applications and computer systems. Works closely with the CIO, Director of Applications and other IT management for the establishment of stable and secure integrated system solutions, ongoing maintenance and support of these systems, and the evaluation and deployment of emergent and new technologies. Oversees regulatory compliance including Promoting Interoperability, MIPS, eCQM, CMS and TJC as well as other quality initiatives as defined. Ability to leverage data and informatics through tools such as PowerInsight, DA2, Cerner Lights On, Cerner Advance, HealtheEDW, and other tools is desired such that technology adoption can be assessed for opportunities of improvement.This working manager oversees physician support from technology onboarding, training and ongoing support in both inpatient and ambulatory spaces. This position may also oversee ancillary applications if necessary and oversee projects as IT Leadership. The seasoned professional we seek will be experienced in application implementation, planning, priority setting, resource allocation and project execution with consistency of on-time and well-planned project implementations and regulatory attestations. The manager will be responsible to successfully manage, direct, supervise, train and evaluate staff of anywhere from 5-8 employees.
Requirements: Bachelor’s or equivalent required; a relevant advanced degree is a plus. Minimum of 3-5 years experience in IT management level position within a health care setting. Experienced in application information technologies in health care. Significant experience implementing, integrating and supporting in-house and ancillary applications. Cerner Millennium systems experience and physician driven applications such as Dragon Medical One and PerfectServe, as well as with Digital applications. Excellent project and vendor management skills. Knowledge of hospital operations, tactical planning, project management, as well as proven experience in personnel management and staff development. Ability to lead and facilitate successful education transition of new application functionality to departments. Strong ideation, analytical and judgment skills, including ability to leverage data through tools to build and track KPI’s. Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks. Strong customer service orientation and communication skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
