Status: Full-time (Non-exempt)
Compensation: $20.00 hourly/weekly pay
The Silver Star Protection Group is seeking a detail oriented and dynamic administrative assistant for an entry level position to join our team in the northwest suburbs. We are seeking a candidate with strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.
Job Duties
- Field and route all calls with accuracy and discretion
- Greeting all visitors and new employees
- Creating new ID’s and issuing uniforms for new employees; completion of paperwork, offboarding employees after separation
- Support senior management team with various administrative tasks; i.e., scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence, coordinating schedules
- Provides support to administrative team; licensing and compliance, human resource documentation, client and/or accounting requests
- Managing inventory and ordering of office supplies and employee uniforms
- Collection and distribution of mail and deliveries, managing outgoing mail and packages
- Assist in processing of business expenses and expense reports for senior management
- Miscellaneous activities as required/assigned
- Participate in required trainings
Requirements/Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred
- 1-2 years experience in a professional office setting is preferred
- Highly proficient skills in MS Office applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Multi-tasking is a must! Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrated proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, and be adaptable to various competing demands
- Ability to work with limited direction and minor ambiguity; proactively anticipate planning needs and take ownership of focus and timelines
- A poised and professional presentation and an ability to engage with all levels of the organization
- Expert level written and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously but exercise proper judgement to escalate concerns

Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
