Job Description: The Safety Officer is responsible for overseeing Silverhawk Aviation’s Safety Management System.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Schedule and conduct Event Review Committee meetings (ERC) at least once a quarter.
- Complete and send FAA quarterly reports first week of every new quarter consisting of the previous quarter’s Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) activity.
- Monitor ASAP reports as they come in and address the pertinent ones with crew members and Chief Pilots.
- Recommend safety changes to the Company such as checklist changes, SOP changes, and training improvements.
- Create ASAP newsletter once a quarter and distribute through VOCUS.
- Track ‘events’ such as altitude deviations and identify trends.
- Complete 2-year ASAP reviews.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- Experience in multiple fleets, preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
