Position Overview

Seeking an experienced real estate attorney to handle complex commercial real estate transactions and business purchase / sale matters with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will possess strong independent judgment, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously while mentoring junior associates.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and independently manage sophisticated real estate transactions from inception to closing, including :

  • Commercial property acquisitions and dispositions
  • Complex title matters and title insurance considerations
  • Commercial leasing transactions
  • Real estate financing and loan documentation
  • Business purchase and sale transactions
  • Due diligence review and analysis
  • Contract drafting and negotiation
  • Serve as primary point of contact for title company transactions, handling intricate title matters and complex closings
  • Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to junior associates (2-3 years of experience) on real estate and contract matters
  • Maintain direct client relationships and communicate effectively with all transaction stakeholders
  • Develop and implement best practices for transaction management and documentation

Required Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school and active state bar license
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of focused experience in commercial real estate transactions
  • Extensive experience with title insurance matters and complex title issues
  • Demonstrated track record of independently managing sophisticated real estate and business transactions
  • Strong background in contract drafting and negotiation
  • Experience mentoring junior attorneys
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Superior organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Strong client service orientation with excellent communication skills
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with title companies and understanding of title insurance operations
  • Background in business acquisitions and sales
  • Knowledge of local real estate market and regulations
  • Experience with commercial lending transactions
  • History of developing and maintaining client relationships
