Summary of Position in Organization
The Position of Regional Sales Manager entails overseeing, constructing, propelling, and
attaining Client's sales in the industrial sector, specifically on the US West Coast, in collaboration with the management team and the organization's business strategies (including annual, short-term, and long-term plans).
This position requires dividing time between commercial tasks (such as sales and business development) and technical responsibilities (such as technical design, training, and customer support), with a 70/30 split.
The Regional Sales Manager role involves leading, developing, driving, and achieving Client's sales within the industrial sector, focusing on the US Mid-West. This collaborative position works closely with the management team to align with the organization's business strategies, including annual, short-term, and long-term plans. The role requires a balanced approach, dividing time between commercial tasks (sales and business development) and technical responsibilities (technical design, training, and customer support) in a 70/30 split.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
• Successfully meet sales targets and business development objectives by identifying and
managing distribution channels and end-users.
• Provide comprehensive support for distributor development, including conducting sales
and training meetings, creating annual business plans, and delivering technical training
to distributors.
• Collaborate with management to develop and execute the annual sales plan and budget
while working closely with technical sales support and customer service/order entry
personnel.
• Conduct thorough market and competitive analysis to provide valuable feedback on
product, market positioning, and sales strategy.
• Expand the A&E market and contractor base by fostering relationships with major A&E
companies and elevating awareness of Plymovent as a specified product.
• Identify new markets and present compelling new business opportunities.
• Work with marketing to develop impactful advertising, direct marketing campaigns, and
tradeshows that generate quality sales leads. Attend key sales events and tradeshows to
support and identify opportunities.
• Collaborate with product managers and key management to assess market needs,
opportunities, and actionable strategies.
• Work with GM/President and Controller to establish and maintain adequate budgetary
controls for sales-related initiatives and expenditures.
• Develop reliable annual and rolling sales forecasts to facilitate proper demand planning.
• Utilize the Cloud for Customer CRM package to efficiently manage accounts and leads,
create quotes, and initiate targeted sales campaigns.
Minimum Professional and Educational Requirements
• A seasoned professional with five years of experience in business-to-business sales, with
a strong focus on the ventilation/HVAC industry.
• Holding a Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering discipline would be
advantageous
• You have a demonstrated ability to develop and execute tactical sales plans, a proven
success track record, and solid sales management and marketing experience.
• You possess exceptional skills in resource optimization and internally and externally
influencing others.
• You are entrepreneurial-minded, solution-driven, quick learner who can drive business. I
